Tennessee Imaging & Vein Center

Here at Tennessee Imaging and Vein Center the doctors specialize in the treatment of a variety of vein related issues. The Vein Specialists include Dr. James Busch, Dr. James Morrow, and Dr. Scott Kemmerer. The Vein Center is located in Chattanooga Tennessee near Hamilton Place Mall and serves patients from metropolitan Chattanooga and North Georgia.

Who we care for:

Whether a patient suffers from varicose veins, spider veins, lower extremity swelling and/or pain, or ulcerations, the Center can provide treatment options for relief. Those who are unsure about what type of veins they suffer from should attend a FREE vein screening on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month; simply call and schedule an appointment. The free screenings are offered to help patients understand what types of veins they suffer from and how the procedures for treatment work. After the screening an appropriate appointment can be made according to the findings.

We Offer Several different treatment options including:

  • VenaCure EVLT Laser Ablation
  • VNUS Closure Fast Radiofrequency Ablation
  • Ambulatory Phlebectomy
  • and Sclerotherapy

Consultation and Insurance

Only after the Consultation is it determined which treatment would be best for the individual. Most insurance companies will pay for the procedure if the patient presents with pain and discomfort from venous reflux. A precertification process is initiated after the evaluation to ensure that the procedures are considered “medically necessary” and therefore helping to ensure that the procedures are covered.

Treatment and Recovery

All treatments are minimally invasive and easily tolerated. During the first two weeks after the procedure the patient is required to wear a compression stocking on the extremity. Patients are also required to start a walking regimen and remain very active. Therefore, there are little restrictions on daily activities. There is absolutely no down time and recovery is typically 1 to 3 weeks.
